BioChip Labs

BioChip Labs is a CLIA-certified laboratory developing proprietary microfluidic biomarker assays for blood disorders, including blood cell adhesion, red blood cell deformability, whole-blood rheology, and endothelialized microfluidics. In 2021, it received a $256,000 NSF STTR grant to standardize and optimize fluid flow in its Endothelium-on-a-Chip technology with Case Western Reserve University. The project aims to develop a validated microfluidic platform with human endothelial cells for preclinical drug assessment, particularly for cardiovascular disease and blood disorders.
